Our Origin Story
Lyndsey and Hayley’s story began before either of them could possibly know it. While their mums were in Hillingdon Hospital giving birth, two lives were starting side by side — lives that would grow, separate, and eventually come back together with a shared purpose.
They went on to attend the same schools, sharing classrooms, corridors, friendships, and all the familiar milestones of growing up. But after Sixth Form, their paths began to move in different directions. Lyndsey found her way into the mum and baby market, developing a deep understanding of what new parents and families need during some of the most important and vulnerable stages of life. Hayley moved into teaching, where her passion for supporting children began to take shape. It was as a SENDCo and Manager of an SLCN ARP that she met Emma, who was in a very similar professional position, and a friendship and shared passion for supporting children with SEND developed together.
Over many years, Hayley’s work became increasingly focused on children with special educational needs and disabilities. She moved from SEND teaching into the Local Authority, working within the SEND Team as an Inclusion Advisor and Interim Head of SEND Operations, and bringing both professional expertise and personal insight to the role. As a mum to a son with an EHCP in a specialist setting, Hayley understood not only the systems families have to navigate, but also the emotional reality behind every form, meeting, and decision.
Meanwhile, Lyndsey’s passion for supporting families continued to grow. Through her work in the mum and baby world, and eventually through starting her own mum and baby business, she saw how much families need practical help, reassurance, connection, and someone who genuinely understands what they are going through.
Alongside this, Hayley and Emma built a strong professional connection while leading ARPs in schools, working as SENDCos and in the Local Authority SEND Team. Their long history of supporting children with SEND gave them a shared understanding of inclusion, advocacy, and the importance of getting the right support in place at the right time.
Eventually, these experiences came together. Lyndsey brought her knowledge of families, parents, babies, and community support. Hayley brought her specialist SEND expertise, school and local authority experience, and lived understanding as a parent navigating the system. Emma added years of SEND leadership, strategic knowledge, and hands-on experience supporting schools and children.
Together, they formed a business rooted in compassion, experience, and action — a business created to support the people who needed it most. What began as two babies born in the same hospital became a story of friendship, purpose, professional expertise, and a shared commitment to helping families feel heard, understood, and supported.
